Mainly on the call of Isaac (Aaron) Bernfeld in the journal, 'HaMazkir' (Lvov 1881), to write a modern history of Polish Jewry; including references to Nechemia Landes , Ludwig Gumplowicz, Edward Katch (328) and Karl Emil Franzos (329); as well as mention of major Jewish historians from Galicia, Moses Schorr, Meir Balaban, Ignacy Schiper, Raphael Mahler, Emanuel Ringelblum, Philip Friedman, and Nathan Michael Gelber, and those who studied there, Jacob Shatsky and Mark Wischnitzer (321).
