Zgoda
A bi-weekly in the Polish language put out by the “Dorshei Shalom” association; 22 issues appeared on Fridays over the course of a year. The publisher was Dr. Bernard Goldman of Warsaw, who took part in the Polish revolt of 1863 and advocated Jewish-Polish rapprochement. In 1867 he moved to Vienna as a political refugee, and in 1870 relocated to Lviv, where he published this periodical. The journal was dedicated to Polish-Jewish rapprochement by means of Jews’ assimilation with the Poles, but failed to resonate or evoke a response from the Jewish public
