[He] was known as a wise man, kept the way of justice

[He] died at holiday [Shmini] Azeret

He is gathered to his fathers people, old man, [who] was satiated with days

Peace be upon him and eternal rest

Gave donations to the poor

[He] was seventy years old

and went to his last resting-place
