According to the statistical data submitted by the local authorities on May 29, 1920, there were  1811 people in Lysiec: 495 Poles, 991 Russians and 325 Jews. ( CAHJP, Hm2/8888.14)

In 1921, 275 people declared Jewish religion while 237 declared Jewish nationality. CAHJP, HM2/9138.6  

There were Hebrew courses in Lysiec until 1922. (CAHJP, Hm2/9138.4)
 

Lysiec is a village on the right bank of the Bystritsa Solotvinska river (a tributary of the Dniester), at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, 10 km south-west to Ivano-Frankivs'k and 8 km north-east from Bohorodchany.
